Reynolds Group Holdings Ltd. concluded this week the gaining of Pactiv Corp. for $33.25 per share, or $4.6 billion, together with assumption of $1.5 billion of Pactiv debt.
Pactiv, based in Lake Forest, Ill., makes shopper and food packaging products, comprising the Hefty line of food storage and trash bags and molded-fiber egg cartons for industrial egg manufacturers. The corporation agreed to the acquisition in August (Feedstuffs, Aug. 23).
Reynolds, with U.S. headquarters in Chicago, Ill., is a manufacturer of packaging and storage products for beverages and foods, together with the Reynolds line of products.
